Don’t ever cuss or scream at your girlfriend/boyfriend during an argument.
Just don’t. If you look closely in their eyes, you see their emotion change. It changes from fierce & uncontrollable, to lost & hurt. It means you have no respect for them. They’ll take it to heart. It means they’re no exception to how you act in an argument towards anyone; like they’re the same as everyone else. But it shouldn’t be the same. Once something is said, they’ll take it to heart, & just give up. Let me tell you.. it’ll hurt them knowing you can’t control your anger towards them, because they’ll think they weren’t worth trying for. It doesn’t matter who started the fight; your relationship should mean more than your pride.

Surprise me.
I don’t want you to do big things every once in a while, but little things daily. I just want to make sure my time with you isn’t going to waste. I just want to know I mean something to you, & you’d feel terrible if you lost me. I just want to be appreciated like any other person. The littlest gestures can make me smile the biggest. Surprising me with little things each & every day makes me feel wanted. Big things occasionally are just as good as little things every day. & the little things make me feel as if I occupy your mind—as if I’m a priority to you, because you want to keep me happy.

You always have to keep that in mind—especially if your significant other is sensitive. No matter how small, stupid, or unreasonable you think the reason is, it’s still a reason. They have every right to get mad, sad, or jealous for anything you do. You may think they’re overreacting, but damn.. what if they did what you did? You also have to look at their point of view. You might not be as possessive, but they are, & you have to respect that. Instead of being mad at them for how they feel, stop making them feel insecure & comfort them.
